Only Connect! Quotes on Connections

29 November, 2007 Posted by Joanna As Snippets

One of the things I enjoy the most about blogging to a monthly theme is the frame it provides to search with a purpose: for links, articles, photos, references and quotes.

Here’s a selection of some amazing quotes I found on the power of connectivity:

“The connection that forms in the space between me and you is the killer app”

(Valeria Maltoni)

“I write knowing you are there, and that we are in some way connected”

(Rosa Say)

“In today’s market, if you can’t connect personally, you lose”

(Lorelle VanFossen)

“When people connect, incoming electrical messages are absorbed by tens of thousands of neurons simultaneously engaged in the same process so that the resulting electrical charge is strong enough that electrodes on the scalp can detect it! That’s powerful!”

(Robyn McMaster)

“I think six degrees of separation really should be many paths of connection. Every person connects to the next one. Every person I meet connects to you and to me. Each person brings a path to what we all have in common. Those paths connect us in network of humanity.”

(Liz Strauss)

“Only connect! That was the whole of her sermon. Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at its height. Live in fragments no longer.”

(EM Forster: “Howard’s End”)

Joanna, I’ve made amazing connections with folks like you since I began to blog. Connections mean so much more than clicks! Thanks for including me.

Hi Robyn, much more than clicks indeed, and much more than electrical charges as well - though I’m always delighted when you provide the evidence to back up some of our assertions!

Joanna
