A blogging backlog
I’ve got a whole stack of blogging tasks that are demanding my attention.
I’m tempted to try my hand at Brian Clark’s Cosmo-headline-writing challenge. I need to work out what on earth I’ve learned from the world of sport for Robert Hruzek’s latest group writing project (and yes Robert, this one’s a real challenge for me). I’ve started compiling links for another round up of what you’ve been writing. There’s a thinking different challenge that I doubt I’m ever going to get round to. And of course I need to work on the round up of words and entries from the group writing project on connecting words (23 entries and more than double that in words - and still trying to think of a creative way to connect them up).
I wanted to show off my shiny new RSS and e-mail subscription buttons (and hover text over them! what a breakthrough this was), and how co.mments is making the task of engaging in blogging conversations so much easier for me…
Meantime the blogosphere is sending me messages that I need to clean up my sidebars (echoed loud and clear by my design adviser Cat) - and I know I can’t postpone this task much longer.
All of that is before I go anywhere near the writing theme I’ve set for this month…
So I decided to duck out and post this instead:-)

Yeah, those sidebar chores can be a real pain in the batootie
I do the same actually.
When I’m supposed to be doing something I’m not comfortable with, I do something old shoes instead. Like designing.
Somehow, this releases me to do what I’m supposed to be doing. Like writing.

Joanna, you’re not alone in getting behind. I think I was the slowest to respond to the Turtle Meme.
It’s never to late to get a “round tuit.” Rick Cockrum was also tagged and he just published his today as did Galba Bright. So, when you get a “round tuit” it’ll be fine because it was meant to be at that time.
Ah Robyn, I knew you’d understand. Being slowest with a Turtle Meme sounds kind of appropriate!

Hi Brad, trust you to find a way to play with the words!
They’re great aren’t they? I had to laugh at myself yesterday when I found myself waxing lyrical at my breakfast meeting with the facebookers about how I’d found the buttons, added the hover text… I seemed to have travelled a long way from my former self!

Hi Cat, you know I’m exactly the opposite way around, can always squeeze in a little bit of writing to put off the design work… I guess that’s why we make a good combination
